Around the World in a Week - LUCAS still has spots open!

Quick, you can still book tickets for the 32nd LUCAS International Children's Film Festival! Once again, this year LUCAS will immerse visitors in a world of foreign cultures. Big and small alike are invited to the cinema from the 6th to the 13th of September, to see the 10 feature-length and 15 short films in the competition.

Book your tickets for yourself, your family, or your school class now. You can view our exciting and multifaceted film program here. This year it is supplemented by a Special Program with the theme of "Animation."

All competition films are shown in the original language and will have live German voice-overs in the cinema.

We especially recommend for educators and film enthusiasts our accredited training program SEEING FILMS - UNDERSTANDING FILMS. For your visit to the festival and the seminar you will receive 5 accreditation points each, and 10 for the symposium.

The LUCAS AKTIV-Area offers the children time and space to engage in discussions with directors and actors in connection with the films and what they have seen. With the KI.KA Trickboxx, you can shoot your own animated films. Moreover, workshops on the animated film will be offered for small groups. On Friday the 11th of September at 2:30 PM, a reading with the children's author Paul Maar will take place.

We would be happy to answer any questions you may have, whether regarding the film program, bookings for groups and individuals, or something else. Please feel free to call us at 069-961 220 670 or email us at info@lucasfilmfestival

We look forward to seeing you come festival week!

Those who don't want to wait so long are heartily invited to the Museumsuferfest, from August 28-30, for which we will open the LUCAS AKTIV-Area--where a lot of fun and attractive prises await you! For all you KI.KA fans, the moderator Juri Tetzlaff is expecting you Sunday at noon for an autograph hour!

To help you prepare your lessons, under Info for Schools you can already view our supplementary pedagogical program.
